Edmonton’s professional, curated theatre festival brings you some of the season’s most interesting artists and challenging performances. Cutting  edge, innovative theatre creators from Edmonton, Canada and the world bend the lines between theatrical disciplines and styles in this unique, high performance, alternative event.

The Canoe Theatre Festival offers opportunities to see adventurous, critically acclaimed theatre rarely seen on Edmonton stages.

Workshop West’s fourth annual Canoe Theatre Festival will feature German absurdism, gay hip-hop opera, Swiss dance theatre, aerial theatre and contemporary First Nations work from Canada’s north.

The Canoe Festival is Presented in partership with the University of Alberta Department of Drama, Calgary’s High Performance Rodeo, Vancouver’s Dance Centre and the Canadian Centre for Theatre Creation.
